An embittered Yeshwant returns to work only to find that his wife, now the Deputy Collector, is having a much-publicized affair with her body-guard, Police Inspector John Frank, who was her fellow collegian. Vikram, however, appeals and a higher court overturns this conviction. Even while the Enquiry Commission is investigating his conduct, he is arrested by Inspector Joshi for killing a man, which gets him 10 years in prison.
